How can my agency/organization make sure to report clients experiencing homelessness on January 29th?
Along with reaching into the community to identify individuals and families experiencing homelessness for the Point in Time (PIT) count, we need to make sure that we are counting everyone who is staying in Shelter (homeless or Domestic Violence), in Transitional Housing (homeless or Domestic Violence) or working with any organization or agency and staying on the streets, in a camper, a tent, a vehicle, or any other situation that is not meant for permanent human habitation (no running water or heat source, dilapidated structure)
Who uses the Data Collection Form below to report clients who are in shelter, a transitional housing program, or in a situation not meant for permanent human habitation? Homeless shelters that do not participate in the DHHS/Salvation Army program DV shelters and TH programs DHHS CMH Michigan Works Any organization that may have clients coming through their doors who are experiencing homelessness on the night of January 29th. (up to one week to capture the information)
